Services for people in hospital who:

• have communication or swallowing problems caused by damage to the nervous system e.g. stroke, progressive neurological disorders, brain injury
  
  
• have communication or swallowing problems caused by head/neck surgery e.g. for cancer
  
  
• all patients who have had a stroke will be seen by a speech pathologist as part of our stroke team

How to refer?

Medical, nursing or allied health staff at the hospital can refer to speech pathology.
