Client issues may relate to:

  • Current health issues
  • Personal adjustment issues
  • Family issues
  • Anxiety/depression
  • Loss, grief and/or trauma
  • Suicide threats/attempts
  • Drug and alcohol issues
  • Finances

  • Advocacy

Social Work staff can:

  • Offer counselling, support and information to individuals, partners, carers and families
  • With care and understanding, find resolutions for problems causing concern
  • Assist clients to gain the confidence to take responsibility for and control of their health and wellbeing
  • Where appropriate, refer clients to services and resources including support groups
