The 2007 Bendigo Hospital Christmas Appeal has smashed the previous years fundraising total!
The 2007 appeal raised $123.905.95 during December, the largest amount in its three-year history.
Rehabilitation was the focus of the 2007 appeal, with all funds raised buying state of the art specialised equipment to assist patients who due to stroke, debilitating diseases or amputation require rehabilitation.
This new equipment, which has already started to arrive, will allow patients to return to Bendigo to be near family and friends for rehabilitation, rather than lengthy stays in Melbourne. The amount raised has allowed us to re-equip our inpatient rehabilitation area, supply equipment for physiotherapists and occupational therapists to use across all patient areas within Bendigo Health.
Thanks must go to our wonderful sponsors, for without their ongoing support and friendship we could not reach our goals.
The following organisations were the main sponsors of the appeal, by donating time, effort and money: 3BO/Star FM, Bendigo Toyota, Hume & Iser Bendigo, Danny Clapp 'The Good Guys', REIV, BMP-Total Image Management, Challenges Accepted, Filthy Monkey Productions, Andrew Pascoe Productions, Bendigo Weekly, McIntosh Signs, IGA Supermarkets, RegionalOne Credit Union and PRIME Television. | Click here to see a list of equipment that was purchased with donations to the 2007 Bendigo Hospital Christmas Appeal |
