Bendigo Health has long recognised that to remain at the forefront of regional health provision, you need to be a leader in teaching and education.
With Monash University, the Bendigo Regional Clinical School is training medical students in their third, fourth and fifth years. Each year 60-70 medical students are trained at Bendigo Health and the first interns will turn out in 2007.
Bendigo Health believes linking teaching and clinical environments in a regional setting will help recruit and retain specialist staff and allow staff to utilise the latest research findings.
